Achromatic Zero-Order waveplates are made of two different birefringent crystalline materials, such as Crystal Quartz and MgF2 to achieve wavelength independence comparing to single material waveplates which are very sensitive to the wavelength change. Achromatic waveplates is an ideal choice for tunable, multiple and board band wavelengths applications.
The quartz-MgF achromatic zero-order waveplate from MT-OPTICS has a working wavelength range of over 300 nm. The retardation accuracy is better than λ/50 for λ/2 waveplates and better than λ/100 for λ/4 waveplates. Additionally, it can provide independently designed and manufactured super achromatic waveplates with a retardation accuracy of λ/300. The working range for λ/2 waveplates is 325~1000 nm or 600~2700 nm, and for λ/4 waveplates, it is 310-1000 nm or 600-2700 nm.

Waveplates applications
Convert linear into circular polarization with quarter-wave plates or rotate the polarization plane of a linearly polarized laser with half-wave plates.
These CdS waveplates offer precise retardation accuracy, excellent transmission, and high-power handling capability. They transmit visible light which simplifies system alignment. Both mounted and unmounted configurations are available
Waveplates Capabilities
Mt-optics manufactures both multiple-order and zero-order waveplates. Zero-order waveplates are less sensitive to temperature and operating wavelength variations.
We offers an extensive production line of birefringent crystals for polarization applications. Our crystal waveplate family includes Half Waveplate, Quarter Waveplate, Low Order Waveplate(Multi-Order),Dual Wavelengths Waveplate, Zero Order Waveplate, Zero Order Waveplate-Cemented by Epoxy, Zero Order Waveplate-Optically Contacted, Zero Order Waveplate-Air Spaced, True Zero Order Waveplate-Cemented, True Zero Order Waveplate-Single Plate. Both the mounted and unmounted crystals are available.
